Pay Per Click Advertising

Using pay per click ads is another way to make a little money from your site. Although not as profitable as an affiliate link, unless you have hundreds of visitors a day to your site, but still another way to make some money. It is also one of the quickest ways to get ads up on your site while you’re building it. You can set these pay per click ads up so that they look at what your site page is about and tries to match ads to what you are talking about on that page. You see these on websites perhaps saying ‘Ads by Google’ or another is ‘Kontera’ these ads are place directly in your writings, you may notice these ads by the double underline of a word and when you hover over the word a box will pop up with the ad as either a text link, video link or text and image link. So there are a variety of formats that you can use on your page using these types of ads. Check out one of our pages that has a combination of these two types of ads Saving Money Makes Cents.
You’ll notice that the Ads by Google are in the beginning and ending paragraph as a small ad, as well as a long vertical box on one side of the page. You can choose were you want to place the ads. With Kontera you notice some green words that are double underlined, when you put your curser over the word you notice a box pop up with the ad link in it. For this page I just chose a text link. The ads in these two types of pay per click on this page should have something to do with what the page is talking about or somewhat close to it. Also on this page you’ll see some banner ads, these are the affiliate ads we talked about previously. This is just an example of using a variety of advertising on your site. Take a look around at Saving Money Makes Cents and Online Games Your Way. You’ll notice that the home pages on both of these sites do not have ads on them, so check around the other pages for examples of ad and affiliate links.
A quick note here, with any of the pay per click ad you may not click on ads on your own site to make money as well as you should not buy from one of your affiliate to make money. Always read the terms and agreement to make sure you don’t do anything to have the ads pulled or be denied using their ads. Besides how much more rewarding is it to know that you have run your website with integrity and it does well.
