Using Your Ranked Ideas
Posted By admin on May 10, 2009
Did you rank your ideas? Today we’ll find out 2 things, whether or not your idea is going be something people want to want information about. First thing we need to do is type in your idea into the search browser. For our example we’ll use cooking Chinese food. So type cooking Chinese food in the search browser. Look at the results there are over 8,500,000 sites that talk about cooking Chinese food.
This tells us a couple things, one that you have some competition out there and second that people are looking for cooking Chinese food otherwise there wouldn’t be so many sites.
Ok, now lets go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal.
Once you are there, make sure the language is set to your language. Example: Results are tailored English, United States (or whatever language you wish to use). Then make sure the circle in Descriptive words or phrases is filled in and in the box to the side type in your idea right below where it says “Enter one keyword or phrase per line” put in your idea. Once again we will use cooking Chinese food as our example. Uncheck the “Use synonyms” box, type in the security word/letters shown and click on get keyword Ideas.
These are the keywords that can go with your main idea. You’ll notice there is a column of boxes labeled Advertiser Competition, are there a bunch filled in or pretty much filled in? If so then you have a decent idea that people want to know about. In our example cooking Chinese food there are a lot of boxes filled and pretty much filled in. That means people are looking for information on this.
Also in our example you will notice, there other things that are kinda related like Asian food. So that’s a possible for another page on a web site, or a totally different idea that you may want to pursue. What other ideas do you see for your idea?
This also tells you the chances are that google adsence advertisers are probably going to spend good money for ads using these words. Why is that important? Well you will just have to wait because that’s a totally different Blog.
Now that you know this, check out a few of your ideas and see which ones will provide you the best chance of making money (remember the more filled in boxes under Advertiser Competition the better). So now add up the scores, the one with highest is one you may want to pursue. Though remember if you think another idea will do better then go for it, numbers are not always right in home business. Until next time,
