What Happened Yesterday!!!

As my son would say OMG! Boy do we depend on technology.
Well we headed out on our business/vacation trip on Sunday and my laptop was working, at least that morning. But by the time we got off the plane and headed towards our destination something happened to my laptop. And not being real compter literate, I was just hoping it was something simple. But after spending the rest of the evening trying to get it up and running with no success, as well as being someplace that doesn’t have any shopping centers (at least that’s what I thought, since it’s a small town), I was trying to think of what am I going to do. Well I found a computer repair shop in town and so off I went yesterday to the repair shop with laptop in hand hoping he would be able to fix it. Only to be told it did not look good and that I have virus and that he couldn’t guarantee getting it up and running right away for me.
Now why am I telling you all this, just because if you’re working from home or on the road you want to make sure you have a backup in place for issues like this, which means that you better have that emergency savings account in place for a new computer (if that winds up being the route you have to go – which yes I did – I had to buy a new computer to be up and running again). Or if you trust using a hotel computer to do your work on making sure that the hotel you are staying at has one available to you. So here I am a day behind, but it’s ok, we did find a place to get another computer (next town over) so that I could continue writing to you as I enjoy the view of the Columbia River here in Astoria. So that’s what happened to yesterday’s blog.
As always,
Have a great day!
