Freebies and Sales Pitches

I’m all about saving money, so when I see something free, whether it be PLR, training or services, I generally check it out. So I take advantage of many of these free trainings/webinars, free products and PLR, which also why you’ll see from time to time I let you know about them also.
Most of these freebies come with a sales page or an upsell page, don’t let those sales pitches keep you from taking advantage of the free or lost cost products, PLR or trainings/webinars. Remember you DON’T have to make that purchase. You may decide after watching that webinar, or reviewing the free product or PLR it just isn’t for you or your business. And that is part of why these things are offered free, so you can check them out and see if you like them or not.
I won’t lie, yes I do want you to purchase a product, service or membership, through my site that’s how I make money. But just like you I am wary of a lot of products out there so I do spend a lot of time reviewing reviews making sure they’re not bogus and review products so that I pretty much know that the resources I provide here are beneficial.
I like you get more than I care to count emails just saying “you gotta go check this out fast”. Don’t you just love it, nothing about what it is, just click the link. So guess what I just delete 95% of those. I like information, teach me something, give me some tips I can use, don’t just tell me to click on something, because the chances are great that I won’t, but if you give me good information then I probably will go check out your site. Now off that little rant, lol.
Last night I watched an hour long webinar, it had a lot of good information in it, but I already knew there would be a sales pitch in it also, but that was ok. My goal and yours should be also to take that free information and hopefully gain something from it. Remember you don’t have to buy the product or service. And you should never feel that way. There are way too many products out there and each are offering something different.
So bottom line take advantage of the free information out there, buy only what you believe will help, but do research it first, or ask a question here and I’ll try to give you my opinion of the product.
A couple little tips:

Tip 1: Set Reminders — If you do purchase or sign up for a trial of something and they have a guarantee refund (and they should) if you’re not happy with it, make sure that you write on your wall calendar or set a reminder on your cell phone for a couple days before the guarantee or trial ends, so that if you aren’t happy you can cancel or request a refund on time.

Tip 2: Separate Email — I have a separate email just for sign-ups for these freebies, especially since I know once I fill out that form I’m on their list and will now continue to receive emails with sales pitches. This separate email keeps my regular email free from all these, and all I need to do is once a week or every few days go into that separate email and scan the emails to see if there is anything I want to look at and then delete the rest.
Now get out there and take advantage of those freebies and webinars and learn even more.
