Outsource Parts of Your Internet Business

Posted By admin on December 31, 2011

You’d be amazed how thinking about outsourcing and where to begin outsourcing confuses everyone from the newbies to even some seasoned gurus and those in between.

So why is it so confusing? We manage to outsource quite nicely in our day to day lives.

When you go to a restaurant, you are paying someone else to cook for you ( a type of outsourcing), even though you could stay home and cook for yourself.

What about when you get an earache, do you use your own home remedies to try and cure it yourself (remember grandma’s remedy pouring warm oil in your ear, it didn’t really work)? Or do you go to the doctors and have them give you medicine to ease the pain quicker? (another type of outsourcing)

Ok I know those are a bit extreme, but you have just paid someone who studied/trained specifically for their job to do something for you. You have just outsourced.

So, why do we think we need to do everything ourselves in our businesses?

For me it was:
* Fear of losing control.
* Not knowing who to outsource work to. Finding someone as competent as I was. You’ll never find that someone till you try.
* Not wanting to take the time to outsource. (I would tell myself “It’s just quicker to do it myself.”)
* Costs. (You may be surprised, you can get help for a lot less than you think it’ll cost.)
* and the list could go on…….

Regardless which of those it is for you, there comes a point with all of us, where we have to outsource, especially if we ever want to be able to take a real vacation, leaving the internet behind and just relaxing by our self or with our family. One marketer discovered a family member that they outsourced part of their duties to and is working out so great, that the family member has taken on additional clients, providing outsourcing services . Who knows you may have a gem right under your nose.

My #1 tip for outsourcing is to Try It. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Try outsourcing with something small and work up from there. Here are some ideas of things to try outsourcing:

* Have someone create some graphics to promote your products or even to dress up your site or blog.
* They could submitting some articles that you’ve written to the article directories.
* What about having them research and find blogs to guest post on and then they could contact the owners and set up the details for you.
* Like a secretary, have them answering customer issue emails.

So take that first step so that you can enjoy the FREEDOM that comes with the online lifestyle.

Start small. When you find someone who you work well with – build on that relationship. This way you will have access to great people who know your style and who you’re comfortable working with.

I hope this motivates you to start outsourcing in your business.
