What a Month!!!

What a month it’s been! From buying a place basically overnight, it closing escrow 1 day before leaving on a two week vacation, to losing my phone & internet access while on vacation……….. to coming back home, catching a cold and being sick for a week and having to move two households (kids moving into old place) as well as get all utilities set up.
So why do I share all of this? Planning….. I thought I had planned everything, but as you can see by the lack of regular blogging I didn’t. I did get about a week and a half of blogs up and ready to go out regularly. I thought I had my back up modem for the internet with me, but soon discovered that I didn’t and where we vacationed was remote, so I couldn’t just run out and get one. Thank goodness in between places I was able to get on the hotel’s internet a couple nights.
We were expecting to have escrow close about a week before leaving for vacation, but again that didn’t happen so we had to wait until we returned from vacation to start moving.
Now what would have made this all easier? Well for our moving if we would have outsourced it to a moving company, but since we were only moving about 30 miles down the road and I like to save money, we decided to do it ourselves.
As far as the internet, if I would have had outsourcing services, my assistant (my other assistant, my son was taking care of a few things at the new place) would have been able to take care of the sites while we were gone. Outsourcing is one of the few areas I just have put off, but I will be changing that in the near future.
